You would think most people that want surgery from having a crooked nose would be the majority of Rhinoplasty canidates, but its not. There are a lot of people that get Rhinoplasty for reasons other than a crooked nose. Most get nostrils corrected and most often most people want a thinner nose.

Crooked nose surgery however has various aspects. For some it may be a car accident, or some other type of accident which has left the nose cartilage loose, or has bent the nose in one direction or another. For others, it may be a hump on the top part of the nose rather than a straight continuation down to the nostril openings.

A crooked nose can be corrected to a certain extent based on the actual severity. If it is a crooked nose septum then the work will be a lot easier than if it is pure bone that needs to be ground down or restructured. In some cases like that of Jen who got a Rhinoplasty in Boston done, it took multiple visits to complete the surgery because there was not just one aspect.

Proper healing comes into play, and if the nose is not allowed to heal then there can be more damaged tissue than desired. As always it is best to check with your Rhinoplasty surgeon to make sure you are really getting what you want out of the Rhinoplasty correction.

One of the things that people ask for when getting a nose corrective surgery is for the wide bridge to be slimmed down. Wide bridge rhinoplasty is very common, and many ask for this procedure to assist with better breathing and nasal passage. The bridge of the nose is defined as the part which extends across the mid-section of the nose.

To have a completely aesthetic appearance some just have this done for a complete feeling of the facial construction and makeup. Other common surgeries that may accompany the correction of a wide bridge may also include correction of the tip of the nose, minimizing wide nostrils, decreasing the width of the noses base as well as correction in the angle between the nose and the lip.

Because each case is different, it is important for a patient seeking rhinoplasty wide bridge correction to consult with a rhinoplasty surgeon who will be able to explain not only the procedure, but what can be realistically done about the nose. Getting the best rhinoplasty surgeon is important, especially for a procedure of this nature.

The procedure is stypically safe, and can be done as an outpatient procedure under the proper direction and car with anesthesia. A patient who has recently undergone a rhinoplasty wide bridge operation will also have swelling and bruising along with discomfort and pain for more than several weeks. It should be understood by a canidate of this type of rhinoplasty that the final results will not take place for well over a month or two, and that patience is a virtue with getting the results wanted.

This article is designed to give you an idea of the cost of Rhinoplasty in the Houston Texas area including Baytown, Pasadena, Humble, Spring, the Woodlands, Sugarland, Bellaire, Conroe and Tomball and surrounding areas where Rhinoplasty surgeons perform. We hope that in your quest cost is less of a factor than finding the best Rhinoplasty surgeon in your area.

The truth about Rhinoplasty is that surgeons charge differently in various places depending on the skill level as well as competition of other surgeons. Houston Texas, like any other big city has its good areas and bad areas. The Woodlands area which is one of the nicer suburbs will have slightly higher costs based on the income level as well as the rental of the doctors office where the surgery is performed.

We will be compiling some of the costs we found as we asked for general quotes in and around Houston so you have an idea of the cost for Rhinoplasty locally. Keep in mind that when talking about surgery like this you won’t find coupons in a local newspaper or anything like that, but what you will be able to do is work with the surgeon on an individual basis to try to either get a discount Rhinoplasty nose job, or do a payment plan arrangement if you do not have the full funds to cover the surgery.

Here are some of the costs in or around Houston Texas for Rhinoplasty.

In the Woodlands we received a quote as low as $4000 and as high as $8000.

In Central Houston (Bellaire area) we received a quote for as low as $3200 and as high as $7400.

In Conroe we received a quote as low as $3000 and as high as $6000.

Hopefully this gives you an idea of the cost in most of the area. As you can see there were variations in cost, but this would also have to do with the specific surgeons we saw as well as somewhat the area visited.

Rhinoplasty is a major decision, and can have effects on you for the rest of your life, so it is always good to speak with your family and friends about it and get an honest opinion from those who truly care about you.

For those that may be of a specific ethnic background requiring a very specific type of rhinoplasty, there seems to always be a shortage of surgeons for. Ethnic nose surgery has been a practice now for some years requiring someone that understands the makeup of a specific background.

African American nose surgery before and after can be quite amazing when dealing with some of the common features of the nose. Below are some of the features and anatomy of an African American nose that surgeons need to be very familiar with when doing a procedure.

* Skin: Thick, Abundant Fibrofatty tissue
* Radix: Deep, Inferiorly-Set & Low
* Nasal Bridge & Dorsum: Short Nasal Bones, Wide & Flat
* Tip: Bulbous, Thick-Skinned, Under-Projected, Derotated (Ptotic), Abundant Nasal Soft Tissue, Broad Domes, Minimal Definition
* Base: Wide, Thick, Horizontal & Flaring Nostrils
* Nasolabial Junction: Retracted, Acute Nasolabial Angle (< 90 degrees), Under-Developed Nasal Spine
* Maxilla: Usually Retrusive & Hypoplastic

The previous aspects covered allow a well trained surgeon of African American male and female noses to adjust things properly.

Asian rhinoplasty surgery can be quite different, and also has its set of changes and aspects to the nose which a good rhinoplasty surgeon should be well aware of. Chicago, Houston, Loas Angeles and Toronto have a great background of ethnicity, and thus many nose surgeons that are very well trained for rhinoplasty. The following are some of the aspects of an Asian nose when considering rhinoplasty.

* Skin: Heavy, Thick & Sebaceous
* Radix: Deep & Flat
* Nasal Bridge & Dorsum: Low, Wide & Flat
* Tip: Bulbous, Thick-Skinned, Under-Projected, Ptotic, Abundant Fibrofatty Tissue, Broad Domes, Minimal Definition
* Columella: Short, Minimal Show (Retracted)
* Base: Wide, Thick, Oblique & Flaring Nostrils
* Nasolabial Junction: Retracted & Acute Nasolabial Angle (< or = 90 degrees)
* Maxilla: Usually Retrusive

More hispanics are beginning to get nose surgery as well. Puerto Rican, Mexican, Dominican, Spanish, and many other Latin races are a melting pot of culture. Making sure the Rhinoplasty procedure is done correctly for the patient is important in understanding a hispanic nose anatomy which are shown in the following.

# Skin: Thick, Abundant Sebaceous Glands
* Radix: Low to Normal
* Nasal Bridge: Wide
* Dorsum: Convex (Nasal Hump)
* Tip: Bulbous, Thick-Skinned, Under-Projected, Occasionally Derotated to Normal, Abundant Nasal Soft Tissue, Broad Wide Domes, Minimal Definition
* Columella: Short to Normal
* Base: Wide, Thick, Horizontal & Flaring Nostrils
* Nasolabial Junction: Retracted & Acute Nasolabial Angle (< 90 degrees)
* Maxilla: Within Normal Limits

Making sure that rhinoplasty is done the right way, and by the best ethnic rhinoplasty surgeon is important. Whether you live in New York, Texas, Florida, or California, you want to make sure you have investigated the surgeon who will be doing the rhinoplasty for you so that you get the best nose job possible.

It takes time to find a good surgeon, whether it be rhinoplasty or some other type of facial reconstruction. Our nose is probably one of the most important parts of our face. Finding the right surgeon that will do the best job, can be quite difficult. Even though you may live in a large city such as Houston Texas, or Chicago Illinois, you still need to find a surgeon that not only has a good track record of successful rhinoplasty surgeries, but can also show you proof with references of rhinoplasty patients, as well as pictures of the successful rhinoplasty surgery.

Whether you decide that a reconstruction of your nose is necessary or not, you will find that the cost will vary greatly depending on experience and booking with the rhinoplasty surgeon. The reason that we live in can also have a major factor on the cost of rhinoplasty. For example, those who live in Beverly Hills California will most likely need paying a premium for rhinoplasty surgery compared to someone who may live in Little Rock Arkansas.

The first thing that you want to do when looking for the best rhinoplasty surgeon in your area, is finding board-certified facial plastic surgeon. The ABFPRS have quite rigorous standards for those who will comply and be approved by them. This includes an ongoing and continuous success rate with patients.

Once again the board certification for plastic surgery will vary from state to state. Where to get the best rhinoplasty surgeon will depend much on who you know as well as what information you are willing to investigate prior to having your nose surgery.
